Herzenssache: Ein überzeugendes Konzept
In Rüsselsheim läuft derzeit initiiert von der Evangelischen Stadtkirche und der Evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Bauschheim und unter Beteiligung des Evangelischen Dekanats Rüsselsheim das Projekt „Herzenssache“. Dafür werden Menschen gesucht, die Lust und Zeit haben, sich Alten, Einsamen oder Kranken zuzuwenden wollen. Interessenten werden professionell begleitet. Pfarrer Bernd Nagel vom Zentrum Seelsorge der EKHN leitet derzeit einen Schnupperkurs zum Thema. Der in Rüsselsheim aufgewachsene Theologe erzählt im Interview von der Besonderheit des Projektes.
Frage: Wie lautet die Zielsetzung des Projekts?
Nagel: Es geht um die Zurüstung von Menschen, die ehrenamtlich im seelsorglichen Besuchsdienst mitarbeiten möchten. In verschiedenen Gemeinden wurde beobachtet, dass häufig alte Menschen aufgrund ihrer persönlichen Verfassung oder eines fehlenden sozialen Umfeldes kaum noch in Kon- takt mit anderen Menschen treten können. Im Sinne des Auftrags der christlichen Gemeinde, einander anzunehmen und füreinander einzutreten, sollen diejenigen, die beeinträchtigt sind und deshalb nur schwer am gesellschaftlichen Leben teilnehmen können, nicht übersehen oder vergessen werden. Natürlich müssen aber auch die, die sich in die seelsorgliche Begleitung älterer Menschen einbringen wollen, entsprechend geschult und in regelmäßigem Erfahrungsaustausch be- gleitet werden. Genau dies beabsichtigt das Projekt.
Frage: Warum engagiert sich das Zentrum Seelsorge in dem Projekt?
Nagel: Das Zentrum Seelsorge und Beratung in Friedberg mit seinen Fachbereichen „Seelsorgeaus-, -fort- und –weiterbildung“ und „Fachberatung“ bietet seit einiger Zeit Veranstaltungen auf regionaler Ebene an. Das können Seelsorgefortbildungen für Pfarrkonvente, Gemeinden oder Dekanate sein wie auch spezielle thematische Angebote, die das Handlungsfeld „Seelsorge“ in der Region unter- stützen. Da geht es im einen Dekanat vielleicht stark um die Entwicklung einer angemessenen Seelsorge mit Kindern und Jugendlichen, während ein anderes Dekanat eher dabei ist, ein Konzept für den seelsorglichen Umgang mit Menschen zu entwickeln, die von der wirtschaftlichen Krise und ihren Auswirkungen betroffen sind. Einer der Schwerpunkte des Zentrums Seelsorge und Beratung liegt in der Förderung ehrenamtlicher Mitarbeit in speziellen Seelsorgefeldern, wie zum Beispiel beim Rüsselsheimer Projekt, wo es konkret um die Besuche bei allein lebenden alten Menschen geht.
Frage: Was ist das Besondere am Konzept von „Herzenssache“?
Nagel:Es handelt sich hier um ein Angebot, das aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht alltäglich ist. Zum einen liegt dem Projekt ein Konzept zugrunde, das auf Vernetzung setzt. Verschiedene Gemeinden und kirchliche Einrichtungen nutzen vorhandene Ressourcen für eine Zusammenarbeit, bei der nicht jede Gemeinde das Rad neu erfinden muss. Zum anderen bietet die Kombination von Themenabenden und Treffen, die dem Erfahrungsaustausch dienen, eine Verknüpfung von Theorie und Praxis, die zum gemeinsamen Lernen motiviert, weil der Gegenstand der Beschäftigung nicht aus abstrakten Überlegungen besteht, sondern bezogen auf den Erfahrungshintergrund der Teil- nehmenden vermittelt werden kann.
Frage: Was bietet das Projekt für Ehrenamtliche?
Nagel:„Herzenssache“ ist ein niedrig-schwelliges und unverbindliches Schnupperangebot, das Inter- essierten die Möglichkeit bietet herauszufinden, ob sie sich wirklich in der seelsorglichen Beglei- tung älterer Menschen engagieren wollen. Gleichzeitig bietet der Kurs in einem überschaubaren Zeitraum bereits Mitarbeitenden Impulse für ihren Dienst. Dabei werden zentralen Fragen der seelsorglichen Begegnung bedacht: Wie kann die Kontaktaufnahme gelingen und wie kann die Be- gegnung zu einem guten Ende kommen? Gibt es einen angemessenen Umgang mit der Frage nach dem „Warum“ in Unglück und Leid? Welche Rolle spielen Glauben, Bibel, Gebet und Rituale in der seelsorglichen Begegnung? Wie öffnet die Seelsorge Raum für das Erzählen von Lebensge- schichten? Dies sind nur einige Beispiele. Wichtig ist in allem, die eigenen Lebenserfahrungen zu reflektieren. Die Auseinandersetzung mit der eigenen Religiosität und das Bewusstwerden eigener Lebensthemen ist dabei mindestens genauso wichtig wie das Erlernen von Gesprächstechniken. Wer anderen Menschen begegnen will, muss zuvor sich selbst wirklich begegnen. So ist der Kurs letztlich eine Gelegenheit, sich selbst ein bisschen besser kennen zu lernen.
Frage: Welche Rolle nehmen Sie ein?
Nagel: Als Pfarrer und Supervisor, der in der Seelsorgeaus- und –fortbildung tätig ist, unterstütze ich die Abende mit Kurzreferaten, der Anleitung von Rollenspielen und Übungen, der Gesprächsleitung beim Austausch von Besuchserfahrungen und indem ich Methoden für die Einübung von Selbst- und Fremdwahrnehmung zur Verfügung stelle. Außerdem habe ich aus persönlichen Gründen große Freude an dem Projekt. Ich bin in Rüsselsheim aufgewachsen und zur Schule gegangen und ich habe in Rüsselsheimer Kirchengemeinden meine ersten religiösen und theologischen Prägungen erfahren.
Frage: Welche Perspektive bietet das Projekt bei der Entwicklung von Gemeinden?
Nagel: Grundsätzlich kann man sagen, dass die Stärkung ehrenamtlicher Mitarbeit zur Lebendigkeit von Gemeinden und Einrichtungen in der Region beiträgt. Dabei denke ich vor allem in zwei Richtungen. Zum einen schafft das Projekt einen Begegnungsraum für Menschen aus ver- schiedenen Gemeinden. Das schafft in der Regel ein hohes Maß an Motivation zur Mitarbeit, weil die Betroffenen wahrnehmen, dass auch andere an denselben Fragestellungen arbeiten und es einfach mehr Freude macht, in einer größeren Zahl von Menschen zusammenzuarbeiten. Zweitens ist der Kurs ein Blick über die Gemeindegrenze hinweg, was sich neben dem seelsorglichen Engagement auch in anderen Arbeitsfeldern des Dekanats auswirken könnte.
